    Updater just awful?

    I have tried to log in and the updater started for the patch but my download speed keeps dropping out to zero ><.... its taking AGES ... does the updater always do this or do i have a problem?

    It's a fairly crappy torrent client. Anything that might be stopping torrent downloads is going to affect it, so check your router configs and with your internet provider if they block or throttle torrents.

    Just dl the torrent using utorrent or a different client, replace the patch file with the one you downloaded, run ff14, profit.

    We shouldn't have to do it manually, isn't that what the downloader is for?

    In a perfect world (which FF14 isn't) the updater should be fine. It's been slow since alpha.

    Yeah it blows. I mean for other MMO's, I never had any problem downloading a new patch or update. Just this one is laggy and the reaction on it is sooooooooo slow.
