    Longevity <can I have it?>

So, Dust 514 is a good example for this, a new mmo game that is free to play that has around 7 years worth of game time. What is ffxiv going to do? Right now it takes 0 time to level up each class/job. The only thing that takes time right now is drops. Repeating raid over and over and over again isn't a good way to keep that longevity. So, I'm just wondering what are you going to do Yoshi to keep players engaged for 7+ years?

    Oh brother.

It's fine to request, but we won't know anything until more 2.0 details. What we're playing now is just a "We're so sorry for the inconvenience" easy mode.

Dust is a extension of a existing MMO you might want to use EVE as a example of long lasting content rather than Dust 514 a MMOFPS that will have a tenth of the content EVE has...

they always have a long term roadmap for the future. look at Anarchy Online, 10+ years now, and still dishing out new content. compared to AO, FF is a nearly blank sheet of paper with a big future if things go right, that's what I'm looking forward to, the unknown

It must be such a great game since I've never heard of it.

No thanks, not in the same sense of Dust, this is like making it take 7 years to hit 1x50...

But did you look at it, all the stuff is XP in his list... so to get XP you do matches... You grind EXP

You're just replacing 1 thing with another.

We now Grind instances, would you prefer those to be easy and Grind EXP in stead?

Or do you want to Grind everything so we're playing fking Grinal Grindisy XXXXXXXIV

    Me either

Toooo many mmorpgs or whatever you want to call them now a days. No one can keep track of all them unless you work for a mmorpg website like zam.

Rather than ask them to lengthen the time it takes to do anything, I'd rather they puff up the journey with loads of things to do so I'm almost never doing the same thing more than once.

Yeah... because Eve is oh so obscure.

DUST is a pretty recognizable name among upcoming MMOs, since it's one of the few being released on PS3 besides FFXIV and Blade and Soul.
