Stone, Aereo and the Wheel of Elements-Are we playing our job at its full potential?

After thinking about the elements and they function in battle and the fact that we CJN and WHM recieve two of them I was thinking...

Was this decision only made to make WHM able to solo, or maybe are we supposed to use them in battles were we have the elemental adventage when playing in party?

First of all, I´m pretty ignorant about jobs and stats so please, forgive me if I´m suggesting something stupid, but just wanted to know you opinion about this matter.

    Thank you for reading ^^

Their damage is pretty good (especially with Cleric Stance and proper nuking gear, but that's only advised for specific situatons/XP groups) and they get status effects attached to them so you can just throw them out when you get a moment to spare. While a large reason why they are on CNJ/WHM is because CNJ needs to be able to solo, another reason is that it helps give them more utility when in groups as they can help output respectable damage when the rest of the group is doing fine or otherwise contribute to helping kill adds and such. One of the major "breakthroughs" for people that came up with strategies for the Moogle battle was that Conjurers needed to Cleric Stance and nuke during the first phase, if that helps =P

Also, note that the new garuda weapon is all but tailor made for landing choke! You'll still have to pry my tempest from my cold dead hands though.

We all have to start somewhere. I left approximately 2 weeks after launch back in 2010. I came back about a month ago, and I still have questions.

Odds are, if you have a question... someone out there is thinking the same thing, but they are too afraid to speak up.

Remember that choke is one of the only dots in the game, and almost all bosses have a serious regen built into them. Our whms are routinely expected to keep choke up on the boss during speed runs. The damage without clerics stance from the spell itself is negligible, but the dot does help to shave tens of seconds off encounters such as princess and chimchim.

Hrm, my LS is mostly just now beginning to do endgame content and we've just started Ifrit, haven't got a single victory yet (we have a tendency to wipe in the 15s after Hellfire), but our White Mages do assist greatly in taking down nails when they show up.

Don't be afraid to use Benediction! It helps if DD run near WHMs after nails are down, everyone just has to return to their positions immediately after benediction lands.

Those moments immediately after Hellfire are the most difficult part of the fight, so once you get that down you should be fine.

Ahaha, it's more a case of "Why is everyone standing together right atop the 6 consecutive eruptions?" moment- We're still working on our reflexes not to derp there.

But! Thanks, indeed, I will mention this to our healers
