Button Mushrooms

Has anyone found a less time-consuming method of obtaining these? So far the best method of farming them I have found has been to farm Boars near Treespeak. Am I just having bad luck with harvesting, or are there any more enemies that drop these mushrooms? You need 3 for each high level Mushroom dish, so they're a bit tough to make in bulk. Since they're in the highest tier recipes though, that might be intended.

Hm. I've never had an issue farming these. Since both Black Truffles and Button Mushrooms drop off the boars, I usually just flare the lower ones and wait for repop for about 30 mins.

The lower level ones at treespeak, or is there a new camp that has lower level boars? I didn't try BLM for whatever reason, I usually use CNJ or PGL to farm them since they are weak to earth. I'll give it a try next time I can.

Harvesting in Tranquil, if you're into Botany.

Piggies are faster than BTN for harvesting the buttons...I checked both. Unless SE changed the drop rates in the nodes around tranquil that is.

Not when only found in 2 of the possible nodes for the area AND when it seems to be a rarer harvest at that. I can get them by killing piggies with my BLM faster.... it's disheartening really.

Edit: Oh and when I kill pigs, everything they drop is something I can use truffles,popatoes,buttons, shards OR is great to sell on the retainer as a stack of raw mats (boar hides)

I've been having better luck getting mushrooms from botany lately so I've been sticking with that because the one point that doesn't drop them does drop midland cabbage for Buttons in a Blanket.

Of course once i run out of mega-ethers or boar leather I'll go back to boars.
