Thread: Anyone know a good Bestiary site?

All these great sites going up...
Mooglebox, Mozk, Pads...
I love them....
But is anyone working on any Bestiary project?
Gamersescape/eorzeapedia has a decent bestiary but it isn't overly intuitive or feature rich....
Mooglebox does camps.... but I was thinking of something more in depth... like what YG was trying to do in the beginning....
I would definitely help contribute to that.
On offline FF titles... I always buy the strategy guide just to look through the bestiary.

MObs level, drops, spawn area, number of MOBs at a camp... perhaps respawn times

I know this information is subject to change with documentation at every patch (Which was YG's fatal flaw) but it would still be fun to provide this...

Raimdelle codex style with actual info and pictures

I personally would love to see this, I doubt it'll happen before 2.0 though. My main reasoning, is how drastically this world is going to change in 6-8 months... Thinking from a developer standpoint, it would take that long to get the quality data & the system implemented. I'm sure we'll see something after 2.0 comes out, but until then we (as a community) need to pool together and improve the current resources where we can.

I could probably do something like this on Pads knowing what features would be requested.

It would be awesome.. but it's true that all the info is subject to change (And is in fact going to change)
But I'd help as much as possible....
I don't even know the best way to do it....
I don't know if you know of Zam's FFXI bestiary but something like that as a base, but with more searchable options, kind of like what Mooglebox does with searching items... but you know, with MOBs
So yea, Zam's FFXI bestiary + mooglebox style searching.... I'd kiss you if that happened... Full tongue

But yes... we need some old school Chrono Trigger "Naga-ette" action

Like other said we probably wont see it until 2.0 when the changes to the game stabalize and wont be totally invalidated a week after.

I spent alot of time updating the Eorzeapedia bestiary until every time I added something SE decided to nix it from the game (AI quirks) So I stopped and I assume others did.
