Partying or soloing

Hello everyone I use to play when then game first came out with my brother and my wife we use to do leaves and what not but no one back then really party and that's one thing I love in xi was partying with other people so we quit playing last September.
I have been reading the updates off and on from October or so to today and I seen they put a seek party function in now so me and my brother decided to turn the game on and see how it is now.
I came back on April 7 th and was ready to try out the seek party function so I put my lancer seeking a party all day didn't get any invite so I did some shouts in Ul'dah seeing everyone says that's the main town didn't get any invite.
So my question is everyone still soloing or is partying kinda rare?
I did get one level yesterday by doing leaves but I rather party how is everyone else leveling these days?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Parties are most common at L40+, but at least on Ragnarok there are also low level parties starting daily.

The search function is still very much underused and, while you'll often find one or two people through it, most of the party will most likely come together from shouting in Ul'dah.

Thank you soo much I guess I will get use to doing leaves and duoing with my brother.
I really hope everyone will use the party function some day and party at lower levels that will be nice.

Another option here, and how I've gotten most of the invites I've gotten that weren't from shouts in Ul'dah. Use the search function but you don't look for people that are seekig, just look for people of the job types your interested in and shoot them /tells. There's a good chance that you'll find at least the 3~4 that are needed to get a light party together so you can work some higher level mobs for the increased xp.
