    Is this a joke?

    I made a post about this not too long ago hoping for a Rep. response with no such luck. I'm also posting on the behalf of my girlfriend (Rozalin Zenon) who can not log onto the forums because, while she is paying for the game, the forums cannot verify she has logged on in the last 30 days, and won't let her post.

    About 4 days ago she reactivated her account after not playing for several months. This was supposed to be another chance for the game to leave a better impression on her, with the job updates, and now the server merge to give more opportunities to get exp parties and such.

    So after having reactivated her account she tries to log on several times with no success, and we find the post on the official site (Link at the bottom of my post). It states that the process of transferring active accounts will take "several days", which in my experiences, when someone tells me several days, it's usually 2, 3 tops. While looking at various other forums I've found a lot of other people also having this issue, and the sad part is, a majority of them cannot speak up on the official forums because of the error that says it cannot verify a FFXIV Log in within the last 30 days.

    Having said all that, this is absolute bull, this was supposed to be a chance for her to get a better impression of the game and now she wants nothing to do with it even more then before. And somehow, after playing XI for 8 years, and seeing this game run it's course, I have a feeling that no compensation is being planned for everyone that is affected by this. People are paying for a service and receiving nothing in return, and before the kids with their parent's credit cards come in wielding the "It's only $10.00" comment, that's still their hard earned money, and SE has no right to even 1 cent of it unless people are getting what they paid for.

    So I leave the floor to the rest of the community, please speak up if this is happening to you or someone you know, maybe if this gets enough replies to hit the front page it will get a rep response on how long "several days" is in square enix language, as well as whether or not compensation is in order. And if this doesn't affect you, please share your thoughts on the matter.

    Yea same thing happens to me everytime I resub pretty annoying actually been about 3 weeks since ive been back and this is my 1st post

    A Notice to Players Resuming Their Recurring Service Option (Mar. 28)

    The World merge was performed on March 27, 2012. In this merger, all characters will be transferred from their old Worlds to the new ones. However, because this would dramatically increase the volume of characters, we only transferred characters within a service account that had the “Subscribed” status as of both March 26 and March 27, 2012.

    The transfer was not performed on characters that did not have the “Subscribed” status on either March 26 or March 27, 2012, or on both days. Transfer of these characters will be performed gradually at a later time. Once the transfer is complete, players will be able to play on their characters in the new World if they have completed the steps to resume their automatic recurring service options.

    Priority for the character transfer will be given to players who resume their automatic recurring service option before the transfer process is completed. However, please note that it will take several days after a player resumes their automatic recurring service option for the completed transfer to take effect.

    * Transfer of all characters is scheduled to be completed between mid to late April.

    We deeply apologise for the belated announcement and for any inconvenience this may cause.

    That was linked to my post. The point is when SE says several days, that usually means 2 weeks by their standards. We're already approaching day 5, the best everyone can hope for is compensation, but even that probably isn't going to fix the damage this has done to some returning players.

    Serveral days means several days. It's subjective. Honestly, I think it's just bad timing on your girlfriend's part.

    If you hold your breath until reactivated, you may well turn a fetching shade of blue lol.

    Joking aside, I have a friend returning and is in the same situation, but he is nowhere near as upset, infact he was totally non-plussed about it.
    It is not the end of the world just yet, we still have until December, apparantly

    It's not so much as the time it's taking, it's more so the fact that the 30 days she paid for, and everyone else, is slowly ticking away, and no services are being provided. And calling it "bad timing" like it's hers and everyone else's own fault is ignorant, no one could have seen this coming and Square Enix has the power to suspend the ability to reactivate accounts. There is no excuse for this, had they done this merger right the first time there wouldn't be an issue.

    Except that SE did forsee the issue, and made apost about it here. It sucks, but they told us it was going to happen, it just so happens that they told us the same day your gf signed back up. So agian, it was bad timing.

    also if this issue keeps her from logging into game, a call to customer service and billing can get them to provide you with extra days to compensate it easily

    Wooo paying to not play the game lol would only get that from SE.

    It sucks, i hope your girlfriend gets back on. Also just to note, even if you had been able to login, you would still get the "cannot verify playtime in past 30 days" nonsense for another "several" days because everything is SO SLOW..
