my charecters exp stopped

So far i have played the free trial version, then bought the full game and paid for a 30 suscription. Since playing the full game I have taken my charecter up to lvl 50 but at that lvl all the exp. has stopped. Im not sure why but I cant progress in the story without gaining exp. Can anyone explain why im not getting any more exp ?

Have you purchased, registered and installed the expansions too (specifically, the latest expansion Shadowbringers, which includes the previous two expansion packs as well)? Just installing and registering the base game (A Realm Reborn) only allows you to gain EXP up to level 50, as this was the level cap of the original game. The expansion packs raise this level cap 10 levels for each successive pack, so the current level cap is now level 80.

If you didn't get the 'Complete Edition' (which comes with the expansions) but just the base game you will need to purchase Shadowbringers seperately and register that to your account, once this is done you will be able to level beyond level 50.

Someone else was having issues with this the other day despite having installed the expansions. Apparently doing another MSQ quest re-started the EXP gain.

I'm not sure if it's to do with reaching Lv50 or the end of ARR's story, though.
