Because trivial or not, they take time, and the rewards (of which the stuff you probably do want is behind layers of rng) are often not worth the time. If not for the rng of the lines, I'd agree with you.

i still do it for bonus tomestone, it's not much, but bonus still a bonus, it take like 20-30 mins to complete and it can be solo, so why not

It needs looking at. Everything seems to give materia nowadays. Extract materia, dungeons, hunts, BLU, Beast Tribes, Bicolor Gemstones. Same with Tomes. We just don't need more.

To be honest, they're probably just rewarding us too much lately. They turn to the minions/tomes/materia safety net too much when trying to make content enticing. Craft materia for example used to be a highly desirable item with WT being one of the rare sources, now it's cheap trash. We have hundreds of minions now too, they start to feel less interesting and more like a +1.
