I made a post February 2018 about interactive items and there's been other posts since then. Either the concern was never translated and presented to the devs or it's no where near a priority to them.
What we need is an option to just set permissions for interactive items based on broad classifications that already exist in the game.
Categories would be like aquarium, orchestrion, patterns (black partition, paintings) food, facilities, possibly lighting, and other.
Apply them to groups: tenants, friends, free company, or anyone.
In this case, as is now only owner has all permissions by default so you won't have randos coming into your house to use your summoning bell. And like, if someone doesn't like this or that kind of person accessing something, they don't have to check it.
we already have orchestrion permissions so its not like this should take much work though lighting is its own thing. What we need is an option to just set permissions for interactive items based on broad classifications that already exist in the game.
