Cannot log into one character

Unable to log into one character but other characters are fine. When I try and loading screen opens it immediately closes with no error code. I believe this is a case of improper disconnect but it has been more than 72 hours (and a reset day) for this issue.

If this is only happening with one character, you may want to try removing the locally-saved data folder (located My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Be sure to make a backup of this just in case it doesn't resolve the issue.

Hello, unfortunately this did not fix the issue and as of this afternoon (12pm central time) I still cannot log into the character.

Could you try doing a cleanboot? Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

Hello! I did a cleanboot then started final fantasy, it opened normally, but I still cannot log into one specific character unfortunately.

The game is working just fine as I am able to play on other characters and with the fresh reinstall, the problem is still persisting.

Is there a way to restore the character to a previous point? I would even be fine with deleting the retainers attached to the character just to have it back. It’s been more than 4 days at this point and I am frustrated.
