With all the negative posts around it, I'd like to say thank you.

It's been a blast queuing up for the boat every two hours and then getting to toss the hook out.

SQEX please ignore the complainers for this content. The content would die in weeks if everyone could get the all of the achievements in week 1. Nobody got a full set of savage gear in one week, why is this different?

I'm looking forward to more routes being added, and seeing what other creatures of the deep are lurking out there.

Although I agree that the complaints based on what you laid out are pretty garbage and not worth any attention, it's never a good idea to encourage devs to outright just not listen to criticism...

It's not about not being able to get achievements right away.
It's that achievements are all tied behind RNG that requires you go on the boat during -specific- paths.
Lots of people have lives and can't go on it every 2 hours.

In addition, because there's no penalty for leaving, people just abandon and re-queue which ruins the experience for everyone on the boat.

Then the "Catch X-Fish" achievement can require an entire party to actively avoid procing spectral waters, which ruins it for people leveling up or going for a score. And it also leads to entire parties insta-disbanding the ship if they get the wrong weather.

Then ontop of it, there are almost no "long term progression" achievements. So once people get what they came for (e.g. mount, which you get in a day) they often just stop fishing there permanently. Meaning the content, like a lot of other side content, will die off quickly and only be used by hardcore-fishers or levelers.

And ontop of all that. If you don't pull your weight your hurting 23 other people in the process. So even if you want to have fun or experiment or not go for spectral waters, or just hang out and take screenshots, in doing so you are negatively effecting others.

I enjoy Ocean Fishing as well. It's nice when they try new things. The same dungeons, features, ect every single expansion can get rather dull. New things are good!
