    EU routing/server problems

    I will make my own thread here to see if I can get some sort of response to the ongoing lag issues.
    for weeks the game suffers from small lag spikes resulting in a 1/2 second freeze, this happens in both the game world or instance content.
    using macro's for crafting often results in skills not being activated.
    looking at several forums and it seems a lot of people are having this problem.
    below you can see the problem more clearly, and the package loss always happens in the last 3 hops.
    you can also see that the package loss follows a certain pattern when it happens.


    I would like to mention that this does not happen when connecting to the NA servers.
    I play on PS4 and have pretty much tried everything to solve the problem using the advice given here on the forums.
    but again since I only have this problem on the EU server and no other game suffers from this I believe the problem is close to the server location.
    I'm from the Netherlands, provider Ziggo

    now I understand that if this is a routing issue it can take time to solve, but a response that something is going on would be nice.

    this is how it looks connecting to the NA, you can see there are no problems here.

    For last 2 days it went to insane level...
    EU servers won't ever have a good connection until SE get rid of Telia 4G... 3G internet for data center...
    I can't even fix this with any WTFast servers...

    It's funny how SE isn't even responding to this. I have this exact same problem where packet loss only occurs on the last 3-4 hops. A VPN won't fix this sadly....

    Same problems here and for quite a while. I've suspended my sub renewal. I can't tank or heal when I don't have time to react to enemy markers.

    We apologize for the delay in responding. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - Please make sure that "Cookies" and "JavaScript" are ENABLED on the PSN browser. If they are already checked, please uncheck them then recheck them.
    - The issue could also be from the "Date & Time" settings on your PS4.
    1. Close the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.
    2. Go to [SETTINGS] on your PS4
    3. Select [Date and Time], and "Set via Internet". (Please do not manually set the date and time.)
    4. Once the date and time have been updated, please restart your PS4 console.
    5. Once the console has fully restarted, please start the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.

    Please make sure all other internet-enabled devices (including smartphones, laptop/desktop PCs, tablets, etc.) have been disabled and/or turned OFF to minimize game interference.

    If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:

    I have the same problem right now playing on PC on the Shiva server. The game is unplayable in instanced group content.
