Too bad, but part about "content that focuses on daily life" is quite literally what he said. I asked my friend that lived in japan for 2 years just to be clear about this.Probably more of a result of awkward translations. In the context of the conversation I took the statement to mean more social activities that encourage people to interact more. It doesn't have to be gathering or housing related (well, it could). It can also be PvE content that promotes communication.
It's all very vague. No use but to wait. Or panic as some are prone to do. That works too.

So...probably more daily/weekly activities then. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing if it more than makes up for the lack of a Deep Dungeon. But time will tell. I think the game could use more features that keep people logging in anyway.
SE's feeling the highs, we're feeling the lows, but the beats start stepping into our souls, we start clapping our hands and stomping our feets and moving our body's to the high low beats.

That is still very vague. It's open for interpretation. And even with some translations that are not so...Google-ified it's hard to make a guess what Yoshi means. I mean, Mr. Happy even dissected the interview and came out with them releasing multiple public dungeons as Bozja gets updated. Removing the barriers from the first one (BA) and you can get a lot of social interactions between people in a zone trying to start a group, while also giving more battle content. Makes as much sense as your totally not hyperbolic "FFXIV is becoming Second Life!" idea.

That honestly sounds a lot better than "ranch-play". It can really be anything from as said dailies, to QoL improvements or just another levelling method.

The only way I'm fine with no deep dungeon is if in 6.0 we get one for 70-90.
HoH is a little less interesting than PotD in my opinion, so I would love if they put more time into it this time around.
