Maybe they think the current amount of players are sufficient? There's also the possibility that more ASTs come into play because some healers wanna try a new one out. And of course, the possibility that they are aware of the issue but not sure how to fix it yet (though if that was the case, I'd think they'd at least mention it like they did with NIN).

AST/WHM is where it's at. It's just that AST isn't that fun and is a fair amount of work to use properly, especially on the mana front during prog. For those reasons SCH is still popular. I personally don't mind the current situation I would just like the healers to be a more fun role to play. Dumbing down the dps options and changing cads on AST took it's toll.
