IMPORTANT Housing Suggestion

Recently I ran into some financial hardships that hindered my ability to renew my sub. Due to this I lost my medium house, which is fine rules are rule and I get it. What I disagree with is that everything from the gil that was to be recouped and the housing items I put time and gil into were all taken away because the "limited time" expired for me so I literally lost everything because I had a real life financial hardship that was out of my control. The suggestion is that either take away the "limited time" in holding items for people who lose their houses or extend the time to recoupe these things to 6 months.

People have lives and things happen, I\\'ve put 5 years of money and life into this game and to have this happen basically made me feel taken advantage of and betrayed because now that I got my financial situation under control I was looking to get another house and this happen. It makes me not want to play the game anymore. Yeah I know I\\'m one person vs. the 10 million subscribers you have that don\\'t matter but still this is a travesty.

I sincerely hope this is something that gets changed or improved on so no one else has to go through this.

Also to add further I've lost real money items and event items that I've put time and money into getting. That is completely unfair because I had financial troubles that were beyond my control. I will say there it'll be a loooooong time before I decide to buy anything off the mog station just to have it taken away and thrown down the drain.

The question I have: How long was on your sub when you realized you were unable to re-sub? Wasn't there time to remove all your stuff before your sub ended, knowing you couldn't re-sub?

There was plenty of time on my sub to do everything you stated. The problem was due to unforeseeable circumstances I was left without internet for 2 months. My roommate had a stroke so he couldn't work, his then live in girlfriend decided to bail and not pay her part of the bills and I had already paid all my bills and had zero money left. Now comes the time I get the email from from square about the house being demoed there wasn't much I could do since I was going to be out of town for three weeks and I was ok with that because the housing rules are cut and dry so there's no point in arguing it (although I tried to get an extension and explained the details behind the request) so I figured my stuff would be there once I got my stuff back in order but I was unaware that there was a time limit on when you could collect your things. I had to wait a couple months to get all of my retainers back (9 in total) once I did I went to get my things and they were gone. This is why i made this post because all that time invested (seasonal events and crafting) and some money I put into the house just gone because of not knowing the "limited time" that my things would be held for. Once all the gil and items I worked for were just taken away I felt beyond betrayed. Like I stated I'm just one meaningless subscriber out of 10+ million that doesn't matter to Square Enix/FFXIV but at least maybe I can shed light for others that may have gone through the same thing.
