Hi all! If any of you have gone to the Mysidia (R.I.P) world forums then you might have come across my post about my linkshell and what I wanted to do with it.
Now, I'm not here to just spout all of that again, granted posting a link to that kind of does that on it's own and kind of defeats what I just said, but instead I'm now here to recruit people.
I created my linkshell about a month ago and it's been there, staring at me, judging me, asking me, "Why won't you do something with me?"
So, here I am trying to do something with it. My offer to linkshell masters still stands. If you have no room for all the applicants trying to get into your linkshell, then send them my way and I'll hold them for you until you can make room. But now I'm extending that offer to regular players as well.
Can't get into the linkshell of your choice because they're at capacity or just aren't recruiting at the moment? Contact me in the game, or post in this thread, and you can be a part of Moon Tree. When the linkshell you originally wanted to join has room for more players then you can apply for them again. If you do get in and want to leave Moon Tree, then you're free to do so. No hard feelings here, just want to help everyone.
There's no real direction for Moon Tree, but if I had to label it anything I'd label it as a "Laid back" linkshell. If there are enough members in the linkshell then there's pretty much nothing we couldn't do, or at least attempt to do. I've been playing on my own since February of last year. Only until recently have I made friends in this game and actually got invited to a linkshell. Star Wars The Old Republic showed me how much fun being in guild can be, so when I came back to FF14 I wanted to experience that with this game.
The only rules for Moon tree is to just be nice. No one likes drama. Help each other out and help other players out. The last thing anyone wants is to have a bad reputation. No one wants to be known as "That guy" in any game.
If I find the time, and if there are enough people that join, I might make a website like a lot of the other linkshells are doing, but until then I'll just leave that be. Also, if you'd like to join and would like to be an officer/leader in Moon Tree (basically you can invite people into the group when I'm offline) then let me know and we can make that happen.
Hm, I think that's about it. Here's the shortened version. Join Moon Tree if you can't get into other linkshells because of player capacity. If you don't mind being part of a linkshell that's run by a guy that constantly tries to mount squirrels (don't ask) then hurry on over!
Don't know how to post an image. ARGH!
Update: Finally got around to creating a website. It was free so, you know. It's kind of plain but it serves it's purpose.
Update 2: After reading Syntaxlies' comment and thinking about it for a bit I realized that he's totally right. I mean, creating a linkshell to help people is my goal, but if everyone's just coming and going then what would be the point? It would almost deter people from applying since they'd feel that if not that many people will stick around, then why should they? So, yeah, thanks to you syntaxlies; now I can do something different with my linkshell and not have it die out.
My plan now is to create a linkshell that helps people throughout Gungnir. Whether it be organizing an LS event or raid, or just filling in a spot or two for an XP party, I'd like Moon Tree to be known as a group that helps anyone and everyone they can. If you've ever played .Hack//GU then Moon Tree is similar to that game's Moon Tree, with a bit of Canard mixed in. For those that don't know, Canard was a guild in the game that helped new players out.
If you're a new player, a casual player or a "mid-core" player and you're interested in Moon Tree then please feel free to fill out an application on our website. (The application is just a formality. It allows me to know who wants to join so when I see them I can give them a link pearl).
I'm currently the only member of Moon Tree, but I hope to make it an LS that's large not just in size, but in reputation and goodwill.
