please fix it where if says have 10% to attach it that it is 10%. Went thru over 100 with 10% chance and not one attached and they all failed. This needs fixed most should failed was 10 times with 10% rate. My suggestion make it at least 50% on all materia attaching.

Each attempt is a 10% chance to succeed. Meaning, every single attempt has a 90% chance to fail. Over a hundred failing isn't abnormal. It sucks, but that's not something that 'needs to be fixed'. 50% is far too high considering how much of a stat you can potentially pile onto a piece of gear by pentamelding. Does the system suck with it's RNG? Sure. But I wouldn't call it broken. It works as a gilsink.

That's a gambler's fallacy. 10% remains 10% no matter how many times you do it. You could get it on the first try, or it could take ten tries, or 100 tries, or more. You could theoretically fail 1 million times in a row, and it would still be a 10% chance, you just had bad luck.

You did a goof somewhere doing this math.

It's 90% chance for each attempt to fail. Sure, in normal conditions, they should have been able to succeed at least 10 times with 100 attempts, but that's not how RNG works. It's a gamble every time you try it, and it can screw you too. You can win the reverse lottery and just keep losing.

Tip: Lower level materias have better chances for overmelding.
