Hi, I did hit 80 with MIN and BTN, and now trying to collect white scrips for the 80 gear.

But I found I'll get nowhere near the collectable level required for handling the items. I think I missed something important.

I'm starting with the lv 70 scrip gear. Maybe if someone tells me a viable gear upgrade progession starting from the 70 dol gear I'm all for it. Thank you!

Do the weekly custom deliveries.

You get 40 white scrips for the HW/SB ones, 60 if they have the bonus and the ShB one that just unlocked with Kai-Shirr in Eulmore will garner you 136, or 200ish if the bonus is applied. Between those 2 you should be able to get then main tool and a couple gear pieces and finish it off the following reset.

You can easily to these with lvl 70 gear with even the most bare bones, basic collectable rotation. If you're not in a rush to gear them, its by far the easiest way to do it with the least time commitment.

Are you in the lvl 70 gear set?
If so, then just use the Beehive turnins, and slowly upgrade your gear, then work on the main collectables vendor.

For starters, get a set of basic Lv80 gear (i430). Even the NQ versions give a lot more stats than the Lv70 scrip gear and you can get most pieces from the NPC vendor (350k gil total). If you can craft or have gil to burn, you can get HQ versions for even more stats. Melding them with some materia will also help. Materia VI is a safe investment since you can recover it at 100% chance when you upgrade your gear and it's reasonably easy to come by (250 yellow scrips apiece, and not too expensive on the MB either). That should allow you to gather at least the easier white scrip items at the required collectability ratings and progress from there.

Make sure you have at least 600 GP. Trinkets (the right side of your character sheet) are the main way to get GP. The ones introduced in Shadowbringers (smilodonskin, white ash or lignum vitae) are not available from NPC vendors yet, but the basic Lv70 ones (gazelleskin) are very affordable on the MB and should be enough here.

Custom deliveries are also good, though I tend to save those for crafters.
