The starlight celebration minigame doesn't sound good to me.

As someone who enjoys rhythm games quite a lot, this one feels like Project Diva... if it was emulated with lag.

Not a bad description! I don't play that series but I do have the Project Mirai demo on my DS so I had a go at that. (Edit: and two days later I still have Senbonzakura stuck in my head. I only played it twice. Help.)

My personal favourite is Ouendan which is similar but more of a direct hand-eye coordination thing with the dots shown on the touch screen, instead of having to look in one place and connect it up with tapping elsewhere. That seemed quite difficult on the Mirai demo - I went well on normal difficulty (two colours) but going up to three colours messed me around, whether it was the difficulty increase or just harder to hit the right place on the screen.
