This silly furniture restrictions really needs to go.

I do not understand why on Eorzea I cannot place more than 1 of certain items, usually reward items, in my house.

Just went to place a second Hades statue and nope "you cannot place any more of that item in your house"

    ---Why!?

If I want to line my halls with Hades statues I should be able to, I would much rather side with the Ascians anyway. Same goes for Ifrit heads, Garuda couches, etc etc etc.

This is just one of many many many silly housing restrictions that just needs to go.

I agree. If you are able to own more than one of that furniture item, then you should be able to place more than one in your house. That's my philosophy.

I assume it's to do with the back-end programming and it couldn't handle displaying, as you put it, a hallway full of Hades statues all at once.

The restrictions seem to be on either complex glowing designs, or interactive furnishings with programming attached. (eg. Retainer bells - maybe if you had two, the game would have issues with both being used, or maybe your retainer would appear at both bells simultaneously.)

Programming could be the reason and yet we're able to have multiple aquariums now which do include lighting effects to create the underwater illusion and animation of the fish inside plus the ability to change the background. The furnishings from primals and raid bosses like the Hades Trophy don't appear to be any more complex, especially not the older ones like the Emperor's Throne.

Perhaps have a limit of how many total "boss" furnishings can be placed in a house just as we have a limit for aquariums then leave it up to the player if they want one of each or use the limit on all of just one furnishing.

Or if could be it's purely a design choice with the items representing trophies of kills so we're given a limit of one.

Honestly I am not sure on the retainer bell thing. Don't we have two within eye shot of each other? I know that housing of course has a lot of entities in terms of furniture all being objects the game as to handle, though in a case like Limsa it is only one of the most busy places in the game, with plenty of actors and objects in the marketplace asides. I know you said maybe though perhaps something more complex like the indirect lights would illustrate it better, ha ha. I can see the complexity of the shadows they generate as being something that could cause issues.
