    I play on Famfrit.
I started 1.0 but quit to try some other mmos. I came back to Famfrit a little before HW was released and I have to say the community has been great.
Since I came back I really have had only two bad experiences with other players. One was a dungeon run the other another player when helping during a pony farm. So I have no complaints.

Aah... Good 'ol Louisoix. The one server that is like Schroedinger's cat: Alive and Dead, literally in anything.

    - What server (and data center) do you mostly play on?
Louisoix (Chaos) My alt is on Lich (Light), but is currently on hibernation.

    - Would you say your server has more of a hardcore, casual, or RP emphasis? Or a combination of both? Or something else? Or is that not possible to tell?
Very much leaned on the casual side. There might be some few groups that are pretty hardcore, but you won't hear a lot about them. Ever.

    - Do some servers (or data centers) have a reputation for leaning toward one of those 3 categories?
The data centers on EU are Chaos and Light. Both pretty on par with population, though English-French-Multilang is more present on Chaos, while English-German is more present on Light.
Hardcore and RP emphasis are server-related. For Hardcore raiders, the top choice seems to be Ragnarok (Chaos) and Odin (Light). RP emphasis on Omega (Chaos) and Shiva (Light).

    - Did you join a server because you thought it leaned toward one of those 3? If yes, was it what you expected?
No, I mainly join servers that are not congested, but not empty either. It maximizes chances of housing and organized hunt/treasure map trains. Not overloaded maps benefit for a smooth gameplay. Everything else can be done via Cross-World functionalities, such as Cross-World Linkshells and Cross-World Party finders.

On Adamantoise, you can expect a shell of a good time...

Okay, now that the dumb pun is out of the way, honestly I like my server well enough. Sure things can get weird from time to time but usually it isn't too bad, in fact sometimes it's almost entertaining lol. Granted, a lot of my down time in the game just goofing around or redecorating my house, but I will also spend some time occasionally hanging out in Limsa or Eulmore. I will agree about the MB prices being rather high here, but fortunately we at least have world visit to help alleviate that when necessary. It's not ideal, of course, but at least that's an option now compared to how it used to be when we had no choice but to but from our own server.

    - What server (and data center) do you mostly play on?

Cerberus on Chaos (EU DC) but I already played on Omega and Moogle before (Chaos for both too)

    - Would you say your server has more of a hardcore, casual, or RP emphasis? Or a combination of both? Or something else? Or is that not possible to tell?

I know there are a few endgame players on Cerberus, with Ragnarok (Legacy server), but I can't tell if there is a lot of "hardcore players". I guess we can find everything else. Cerberus is less "casual" than Moogle for example, imo. I tested both, like I said.

    - Do some servers (or data centers) have a reputation for leaning toward one of those 3 categories?

Some people say Chaos is the DC for endgame players. I don't think so, since the two DC seems to be created just to separate populations (English/French for Chaos, English/German for Light).

    - Did you join a server because you thought it leaned toward one of those 3? If yes, was it what you expected?

Yes, I left Moogle because it was too much casual for me. But not just that ! I feel better on Cerberus, the community is amazing (in my opinion). I received a better welcome on Cerberus than on Moogle. Moreover, we have the best prices on market board than the other worlds on Chaos
