Anogg and Konogg are completely original, so them getting a fan treatment would make more sense.

The main reason I suggested this is because, at the end of the raid series, it's suspected we'd see their faces. It would be an interesting little node to the fans if they got to select their appearance. And besides we know they can alter the models freely, so while they have bases, changing them is no issue.

I don't see how anything about them makes them special enough to let fans design what they look like. "They're original characters" applies to prettymuch everyone in the game.

I forgot this was a thing, so thanks for the reminder. But when I was looking at the other Dwarves, specifically Giott, it list them as male. This might be because of the bait and switch of the quest line, but it does show that there are exceptions. Additionally, the dig site chief and watch have the same models as Giott, so some models might just be placeholders.

I think Giott is definitely intended to be female, but using a male model so her emotes aren't an early giveaway to anyone who can recognise them. The journal starts referring to her with female pronouns as soon as her face is revealed.

There's just no precedence for "involving the community" in the design of core characters.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last contest was for the minor adventurer NPCs that appeared for all of five seconds after the Steps of Faith trial. They were not characters as such; they were extras.

Deciding what an existing character 'really' looks like simply doesn't seem like the sort of thing that should be put up to popular vote.

They are Lalafells, nothing more, nothing special, end of story, it is even stated in game that they are simple Lalafelsl under the helmets and beards. I suggest you do the healer role questline.

You only give yourself falsl hopes for something unneeded and not even mandatory, its a sidequest, a sidequest with a crossover which proabably never going to appear again after its over, unlike Crystal Tower or Hildibrand.

They wanted tha crossover and somehow had to connect it to this world and choosen the dwarves, which are lame on tis own like the other races, just change the anem and the world is SO different sure.

My point is that they are a plotdevice that works aslong they are needed, afterwards, dropped and forgotten, end of story.

For the love of the Twelve forget it. It's clear it was a fruitless endeavor to try and suggest community involvement for fun.

God forbid anyone respond with, "I picture them looking like Tataru, since they are that mischievous" or "yeah it would be interesting to do that contest again" nope it's all just "they look like lalafells" well of course they look like lalafells; and here I thought we finally got Roe children, -_-
