    I really didn't like SB DRK it's the reason I went WAR in SB, it's a no from me sadly there are good intentions in your ideas but personally for me I can't agree with I didn't like how SB DRK felt with DA spam for every ability. Should there be complexity and MP management? Yes, it's why HW DRK will always be my favorite, it was functional, hard to master,2 combos and was super fun but the thing is for me I really do enjoy SHB DRK despite its feedback, this is all just my personal sentiments.

    Really interesting rework, lots of good ideas!
    It has everything I'd love to see for DRK:
    -Actually having to maintain Darkside (there's nothing to maintain right now because you're going to use Edge every 10-20s anyways)
    -More MP generation and spenders (600 every combo feels bleh, I loved having at least one DA available after a combo)
    -More choice and decision making, especially regarding survivability (as opposed to currently just keeping the combo rolling and using CDs when they're available)


    I do enjoy the current DRK, but I miss the fast-paced 4.5 iteration along with its ability to turtle down and become a true blood knight (pop the tank stance, double your MP gain on Syphon Strike and turn Blood Price on to watch your MP bar explode, then spend it all on DA Souleater/Abyssal Drain and TBN, and laugh like the undying bastard you are).
    You know, being an actual tank and not a DD with a safety cap and a box of bandaids...

    What was it that you disliked in SB besides DA spam though - and I suppose single combo since you mention it with HW? And what is that you uniquely enjoy about SHB version that was not present before? Not trying to invalidate your opinion btw, merely to understand the perspective.

    I think the DA issue most people agree on, which is why I'd like SE to give us more varied spenders to reduce spam, rather than just cripple the MP economy like SHB did, while reducing variety even further.

    To say you enjoy SHB DRK is to say you enjoy WAR, plain and simple! Nothing wrong with that, I love WAR too. However, that still doesn't make up for the real DRK vacuum. Let's be real though, HW DRK wasn't hard to master. It was clunky.

    Clunky? Maybe at high ping?

    Back then the servers almost 3000 miles and a Level 3 ISP conflict from me and it still felt plenty smooth, though...

    It had anti-synergies, of course, but it also had above-average base values that basically required the timing delays obliged by those anti-synergies in order not to be mildly overpowered. That honestly felt rather unique and "DRK" to me, far more so than "clunky".

    Living dead might be over kill imo with the 100% heal if walking dead doesn't proc and it already has the 20% healing so I would say that would suffice. The drawback to Living Dead, as of 5.11, is that there is no visual letting players know the DRK is about to die. Unless they are already targeting them. A doom counter on the player similar to E2S would resolve a lot but still not fix it. In combination with the healing it would make it more healer friendly. Otherwise, the changes I can take or leave it. It's still not gonna resolve the identity crisis that DRK has as a budget WAR.

    I mean these changes look like the sb drk. Without playing it I can’t tell if it feels like it. But it’s better then drk now, that has delirium as copy paste Inner release

    It was mostly the DA spam and unused kit and there was no thought to it unless you wanted the extra 50 blood from TBN I felt like that was all it was for, TBN i've used in many fights to trivialize certain attacks to get a free Edge/Flood because it lined up so perfectly. Most abilities you never used like Blood Price unless liked sitting in Grit, Power Slash + DA and then dropping stance was annoying too (even though all tanks but WAR suffered the least for it), Dark Passenger costing half your MP + a DA was just never worth it except in very niche scenarios in raid.

    Those extra things in DRKs kit were just things you never used and to me were just unneeded SHB DRK may have taken away some tools but removed the fluff for that I'm grateful, although, I know this comes at the cost of complexity, I wish there was more MP economy play and I wish there was more complexity to it but that was HW DRK and I do miss it but I can agree SHB DRK is a solid base.

    That's all people refer to but yet PLD and GNB play pretty similar but no one bats an eye because PLD can cast and GNB cannot, both are static dmg and WAR/DRK are burst the only thing that DRK shares with WAR is Inner Delirium which I can see people's complaint. HW DRK was pretty smooth it had clunky ideals, Dark Dance + DA and DP + DA gave blind and Evasion so if you had BP up it was counter intuitive but overall it was fantastic, fast, and high rewarding.
