Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Are you connected directly to the router or are you using WiFi? What have you tried to alleviate the issue?

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

I am using WiFi but this is the first time I have had this problem. Other online games work fine for me so why not this one?

I tryed to delete stuff in the map, I tryed to start it as a admistrator, I restartet my computer, looked at the firewall to see if that was the problem and also had a friend take a look and that when we tought we had succeded to get it to work untill later I saw the messege Unable to complete version update.[30419][19901][2]

Good morning and thank you for the reply.

    Could you try the following:

Final Fantasy XIV will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Adjust the following settings in the Internet Explorer (not Microsoft Edge) web browser.

Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

I already tried the Internet Explorer web browser, forgot to mention that but I can happily tell you I fund what was the problem finally! It was the User Account Control that was the problem so I had to do chances there. If there is any more people with the same problem as me then maybe that is what they need to do also.

Thank you for answering me and hope this problem will be rare in the future!
