LMAO, the prices have dropped over 1K per hour, the prices are now around 50g each and by tomorrow will be REALLY LOW. Gathering gets NOTHING out of this..... N O T H I N G Thanks for screwing me over SE.
See Ya!
The fact you can server hop is the true nightmare.
You're locking out people from their own server because of it.
Jebus man lol.

This is EXACTLY what I thought of when I first heard about this. You had to live in the game if you wanted even the remotest chance to participate.
On top of losing out of that, it will likely be turned into the new housing ward..which then means that most people (if its not instanced) have restored and put work into a zone that they wont be able to even really use. (And this fully ignores the story implications that the first that Ishgard does after the war is to rebuilt a whole zone into something that adventurers can buy..while their own people still hunger, have no houses and would need places to work..) I really wish we would have gotten a instanced zone like the one in Doma and if a certain amount of players had done that, SE would unlock a second zone with housing..
I mean, the opening quest kinda covers that, with Edmont coming in and saying "hey, let's encourage our citizens to become adventurers, and we'll incentivize them with housing."
I have a big doubt that a lot of the people that are suffering right now can simply just turn into adventurers that are somehow good enough to survive all of it but also get enough Gil to buy a house. Maybe if we got instanced housing with one house being there as a thank you for the WoL, and the rest being there to truly help the people then that would have been great. But the idea that this whole zone and all that work is done so that somehow a part of the people can turn into adventurers and earn enough to stay there. It just sounds bad imo.
They could have easily done a whole story about this one and later when its done and the community has been successfull they could have opened up a new zone as housing.
