The Astral/Umbral timer started at 10s back in ARR, but climbed to 13s in Stormblood and is now a full 15 seconds long. It’s the most generous it’s ever been, and usually allows a black mage to throw a Thunder or Foul/Xeno spell or even both into their astral cycle without dropping Enochian. A less experienced player who just sticks to the basic 3-1-3 pattern should be able to land their fire spells with plenty of time to spare.

That longer enochian timer is so helpful.
Used to be a struggle just to get a thunderIII in or hell to even justify using it when you could.
Thundercloud proc also lasted only ten second back then, and sharpcast with its minute timer was exclusively for firestarter.

Glad that's not the case anymore, though I admit that I somewhat miss the way enochian worked in HW.
