Suggestion: Add the ability to request a player dye an item

Just like how you can request a meld from a person, being able to request a dye would be nice. I get this would be mostly useful for friends that are willing to dye your untradeable items for free or for a small donation, but this would still be a really nice feature, I think.

Maybe you can't afford an expensive dye and are having no luck with retainers bringing them back, it'd be cool if a friend with plenty of gil or just had spare dyes lying around would be nice.

Maybe it could even add a tag onto your gear piece that said "Dyed by soandso".

Your friend could just give you the dye... all dyes are tradable except the ones purchased for real money on the mog station, and they probably don't want to let those be traded or dyed onto clothing that you could sell so as not to make that a source of income for players to, effectively, RMT buy Gil.

It would be great when starting a new character. Being able to request dye/glamour would be great - or make it an NPC like the materia melder.

Dyes received from golden chocobo feathers are also unable to be traded.

Oh I would love this too, but would they allow it? Probably not because it sidesteps mogstation dye sales.

Technically, this can already be done since you can just gift someone the item code for the dyes. It's against the rules, but then, so is RMT in general.

It would never happen because of alts getting chocobo feathers on creation. Essentially two friends with multi character accounts who receive the chocobo feathers could have unlimited rare dyes.
