[Request] Premium Servers!

I think it would be wonderful if there were special servers that were only open to players willing to pay a premium fee to gain entry. For the sake of convenience they would be attached to the existing datacentres but world visit would be disabled for players who have not paid the entry fee.

I was thinking that it would also be a neat touch to name the servers themselves after the more opulent regions of the game world such as Kugane, Eulmore and Ul'dah.

It would be an excellent way for players with a disposable income to better identify each other and mingle within their own micro version of FFXIV's great community.

We already have premium servers. Its called a monthly sub. And lets not pretend that such a server wouldn't come with additional perks, that most players would want. Thus leading them to buy into the premium server and reducing its exclusivity. Then premium servers become normal servers that you just have to pay more for. No Thanks.

I have to admit, I've taken large breaks form the Forums. Have you been doing this the ETNIRE time? Or did you go on Haitus like I did and I'm just witnessing your resurrection?

I'm guessing it's the later cause the Popcorn tastes stale.

Anyways, as I am compulsively the devil's advocate:
Obviously, this idea is DOA. We spent months chafing under Legacy Exclusive servers trying to open them up. I severely doubt they'll permit any exclusivity now. They're headed in the opposite direction here.

I tend to post in between doing various in-game activities such as PvP, crafting/gathering and achievement hunting. This is indeed an older thread that was given a nudge, though.

Some of my suggestions carry more weight and enthusiasm behind them than others, I suppose.

Though when one finds that even constructive threads are neither acknowledged or apparently sent to the development team, one does grow prone to bouts of playfulness.
