Congrats Mirakumi. Once you get your foot in the housing door you'll find it only goes up from there since you can now relocate to other houses if you want to upgrade bypassing the timers.

The part that I don't like is the placard camping system. Its brutal and initially you are happy to get a house anywhere just to have 1. My first house was a Shirogane small 5 so I never had to placard camp which I only got when the first lot of Shirogane housing was released because the person at the placard already didn't have enough gil but he was a good sport and said grats on the house. From there have moved around to tons of different houses, enough to have tried most of them at least once but it seriously becomes easier to move around once you have the first house provided there is a vacant plot around.

Would I change the current system? Yes. Placard camping is a waste of time for all involved, it was designed to combat real world trading of money for houses but there are better ways to handle it so that people can fairly obtain a house and not waste their time at the placard for hours.
