    Constant 10105 Error after downloading patch 5.1

    So after I select my character to login I see the Ul'dah loading screen with no pop-up for queue time. After a noticeably long pause on the loading screen, I get a message box saying, "Connection with the server was lost." Only to get sent back to the title screen for the same to repeat if I try again. This is only affecting my main character. Alts have logged in with no issue on other servers and even Excalibur.

    My internet is fine at the moment and I even reset my router and ps4. Anyone else experiencing this issue? It's been almost two days of waiting now and I even reinstalled the game too. :<

    I see that this error is commonly attributed to losing connection in an instance but I recall logging out normally in The Goblet the night before the patch release?

    Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Are you connected directly to the router through Wifi or are you using an ethernet cable? If you have not done so already, could you try the following:

    Open the following ports ranges on your router:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    These are remote ports in your router’s firewall. They designate what can send information to your PC and what cannot. These specific ports are used by the game to connect to the local client.
