[5.1] Copied Factory Visual Clutter Problem

So I’ve been running the new raid a lot, and I genuinely love it. However, there is one problem I have. Many of the mechanics rely on being able to see the boss’ posture and behavior. However, with how visually loud many of the spells have become, I find myself unable to see the boss to be able to discern what’s coming. This is a particular issue on the first boss and the last boss, where the constant glow of spells hitting them obscures the entire enemy from view for very prolonged periods.

I’d love to see an option where we could visually “mute” spells from other parties in the alliance. There is very little to gain from being able to see what other parties are doing, and it would cut down on visual clutter substantially.

What are your battle effects settings set to?

(Character Configuration -> Control Settings -> Character -> Battle Effects settings)
    I use:
    Own -- All
    Party -- Limited
    Others -- None
That seems ok most places, though I have no idea how it looks in the new raid specifically.

I definitely do not believe your issue with the raid and effects are not specialized, nor valid. The issue you describe happens everywhere. "Cannot see individualized AoE circle because of Dancer effects. Couldn't see boss finish animation because of Holy spam."

What you should definitely consider doing is changing your effects settings as Niwashi has mentioned. And by changing as in to reduce or eliminate completely based on the radial button options available.

With the implementation of Dancer, they are currently the king/queen of effects spam and it blankets over everything else far too easily. The radius of their effects are not only huge and encompassing, but colorful and vibrant. Pretty to look at, but a huge eyesore when trying to participate in group-based content.

And that is only Dancer. Who knows how much strobe-lighting is going on at full settings with all roles acting at once.
