Accidental self-targeting with Controllers

Playing on PC with an X-Box ONE official controller.

I've been having this issue for a while. I was randomely targeting myself mid-fight, often loosing 2-3 gcd before noticing. Even messed out a few boss pulls because of this. And only recently discovered why.


So I use an Action set on the D-Pad. If I release the trigger before letting go of the D-Pad button, or roughly at the same time, the game will register it as an additional input.

Thus changing target on either me or another ennemy.

This is extremely annoying and even knowing this I still often target myself.

ive had this issue for years too, feels like it’s been more sensitive in ShB though. it is very annoying, i gotta admit.
