I would actually take more care about egi´s having an impact on the gameplay instead of just being the gimmick running around.

I kinda get the feeling that given them not adding more egis at all and them not liking pet UI, they may just turn more into bahamut/phoenix like and scrap the normal egis in the current system. Giving people maybe full versions of the primals, but mini and follow you, however you can't interact with them similar to bahamut / phoenix. I'm not sure if they would do this in 6.0 or 7.0 and 6.0 them just slowly moving more towards it. Next up, Egi assaults being gone possibly.

What I'm not sure if they will do is if they will stop you from always having a pet out and only having them called out when you summon them for a duration or what their plans are. Even if it's not what some people want. Curious to see their decisions going forward since I'm sure they know people are attached to egi's but I don't think they care to expand on the pet AI or system of them.
