This is new? I started the game in 1/19, and remember getting stuck often for dungeon content that I couldn't get into until got better gear to meet the item level.

Unless you have people leveling alt jobs. that lock really only works for the first job to that point. Its why you get people with multiple 80s who are too lazy to get gear for their next jobs and have i200 in titania.

Leveling dungeons (read: dungeons that are not level 50, 60, 70, or 80) have had no item level requirement until 5.1, so yes, it is new.

Nothing stops players from doing other content on different classes than what they completed the previous dungeons on. Why do you think so many people show up in Sirensong in Ironworks gear when that wouldn't have gotten you into Baelsar's Wall?

I agree with the minimum item level requirement for the most part. Glad that the devs put them up for the upcoming patch.

This is a great start, but can they like do this for the ARR dungeons too? I mean, a drk cosplaying in 11 DoM gear is not uncommon to see in totorak and sometimes in stone vigil too...

it's fine, they are so easy now that a healer can pull the entire dungeon and also tank.

The next thing that needs fixing is NQ and HQ gear having the same item level even though the stats of the NQ item are lagging like 50 ilvls behind.
