I'm long of the opinion that S-E should set up an official sub-forum dedicated to roleplaying. That way, we can clearly distinguish between lore and "headcanon", which is essentially roleplaying.

But I think the major problem is that roleplaying does not have as strong an appeal with the Japanese community as it does with the Western community. You'll only need to take a quick browse of the official Japanese lore sub-forum to confirm this: Japanese players really just aren't very interested in the lore, let alone roleplaying beyond min-maxing their characters.

@Galeteya: This is simply a case of going to the wrong place to post your ideas. I would recommend that you visit this other forum instead. You'll find a more receptive audience there. Good luck!

As long as such threads are specifically referred to as speculation and that the subject matter is non-canon I don't see the harm in such things being posted here. There actually isn't anything in the forum rules that specifically forbids such things, so I hope the OP and others wishing to share their head-canon are not put off by the direction of this thread!

@Sophie_Lo and @Theodric, thank you so much. This seriously makes me feel so much better. I was really thrown for a loop when I got back online after posting this and saw the direction it turned. I'm so glad you enjoy this stuff! I hope to read more of other folks'!
