Not sure when, but yeah, some people would join to get XP (or tomes/flavor of the month) and just park their character someplace. I know a couple of years ago there was an XP boost for a while to some game mode in PvP (Frontlines? Or the 8-Player teams in Feast Training matches?) -> queues became super short but there were more idlers. Haven't seen it as much for the Moogle event, just one comes to mind from my runs.
Thanks for helping make the FFXIV community a fun and welcoming place. If you're not sure you have (and you very likely have), make it a point to be patient or helpful the next time you log in so that you can know you've made a difference.
If you're on the Aether data center, congratulations! I might be your nextexciting adventurehealer in the Duty Finder. Please look forward to it.
Seems fine to me. It's one thing to go afk in a dungeon for 2 minutes. In pvp there's no pausing it. The other team(s) aren't going to stop and wait for you to do your thing, and if you're afk you're being a detriment to your team. Not contributing at best and at worst getting killed while afk and giving that team points for killing you and building up your res timer.
2 min at PVP is more than enough, that's too much based on how many time each PVP mach take to finish. 30 secs of inativity for auto-kick would fit perfect, this is not a PVE, people are not going to wait you back to fight against each other just like we do at PVE content, your inativity is going to prejudice all Alliances of your GC and do you want more time to be AFK than 2 min?. If you don't like it just use the Bathroom before any registration.
I like it when people like OP come to the forum asking for validation, and get told off by everyone lol.
It's one of the best kind of education.
