    I still want a Time Mage class. Not the "AAAACTUALLY AST uses a little tiny minuscule bit of time magic."


    As for Green Mage (mostly of FFTA2), I don't know how it could necessarily work in 14 without either becoming one of those must have classes for raids or mostly useless as their thing is status effects, both buffs and debuffs... Would be a good way to reintroduce things like Protect and Stoneskin, but like said it might make it a little too good to not have in a raid...

    I feel like the aesthetics of these are covered by White Mage, Black Mage, and Scholar, honestly. Aside from Mathematician, which is only really alluded to as part of a boss' mechanics. Not sure how you'd get that one to work, though.

    I'm not really sure how else a Spellcaster can be introduced and feel unique from the others.

    Time mage will mostly never happen for lore reasons, which - to summarize - time magic cannot be done in such a way that it's usable in combat. Time magic, as established in FFXIV's setting, is incredibly ritualistic. (With Alexander being an exception, but he's a robotic demi-god that doesn't count.) It's also mega-illegal, like - more so than Black Mage and White Mage.
