Legacy Tattoo

I played when the game first launched and I am still using the same account and character. I don't remember doing to much of the story since I was lost in the game. I got my character to level 30 or so before moving my character to another server. I stopped playing the game once the free to play ended. So I probably played for about a year before quitting the game. Yesterday I was watching a friend streaming FFXIV and the legacy tattoo was mentioned. I had no idea what it was until they told me about it. Now I am trying to find out why I don't have it since I played the beta and played for about one year or more. Is there a way to find out why I am not legacy? Thank you for any help.

Legacy was subscription based. You has to have subbed for a certain amount of time (3 months IIRC) after Yoshi p took over but BEFORE the calamity. It was really confusing when they first announced it lol

The tattoo does not matter if you subbed, just that you have an original 1.0 character
