Honestly I think 6.0 will be Garlemald. It will be the end of that story arc with the post patches involving the rebuilding of Garlemald to lead up to us going to either Ivalice or Mysidia which would make sense to introduce the 4th caster dps.

I think we'll be getting 'Garlemald' zones in 6.0
That said, I think it's also likely as part of a Garlemald expansion we'll get one Ivalice zone to expand on the forshadowing of the Ivalician resistance. Not a city or anything, but somewhere with a theme thats easy for the FFXIV team to build around without being too beholden. Something like Giza Plains that changes in certain weather could be a great showcase for instance, or something like the Sandsea
That or the 6.0 Eureka is "Free Ivalice!" and its a series of Ivalice zones
Much as many would like XIV to drop big content references/crossovers I very much doubt we're done with Ivalice.
I expect that in 6.x series, Yoshi is going to wrap up all of the existing plot points so that way, going into 7.x it will all be new territory from here on out. Why would he be doing that? I believe that by the time 6.x is done, he will be slowly pulling back into a producer or executive producer role and not producer / director role. By the time 6.x would wrap up it would be June of 2023 and he will be getting up there in his age, 50 years old. Now that doesn't sound too old but he is still working hours like he is 20 years old and its starting to show. That and he has always hinted that he has planed the game through the 6.x series. His story will be done, time to hand off to his apprentice.
Were going to Garlemals in 6.0 because Zenos made it happen! He's finally done something useful!
I have a feeling 6.0 is going to be Garlemald with the moon as eureka type content/zones.
