Soloing old content

Hello fellow warriors,

Relatively new to the game but played WoW for 13 years so not a newbie to the MMO scene.

I love soloing old content and farming old items, I wondered what the best DPS was for farming old content?

I much prefer melee combat to ranged but so far I havent encountered and DPS that had any reasonable healing abilities.

The best DPS for Soloing is Red Mage and it’s not even a contest. It’s the only DPS with a cure spell. After that I’d say Samurai because it has fairly high damage that pairs well with Bloodbath and the Third Eye+ Merciful Eyes combo, which gives it slightly better self healing than it’s peers. Monk has Riddle of Earth and a Tank Stance still because the devs ignored its kit for another expansion, so it’s pretty solid for Soloing as well, you just have to pay attention and keep your positional nullifies up.

The again, which content are you aiming for? Most of them are doable with any classes.
Sole old 8 mens? Paladin

Best are usually tanks for soloing old stuff as they can pack and take a punch. May or may not come with decent self-healing too (especially PLD).

But be aware, even for some level 50 content you will still not be able to clear it solo as some fights come with mechanics which needs more then one (or two) people to actually survive.
