Hello,
Please keep in mind:
-- You do not need to do the DH2/CC run 50 times a day, every day. You can do it a few times. Then go do something else.
-- You do not need to get the pretty items as soon as possible (day0/1/2). They will be around for a while, so take your time.
-- If you loose the fun in something, go do something else for fun. No one is forcing you to do this one specific activity non stop.
At the end of the day, it is for you to find ways to enjoy the world you are presented. You can not always have your hand held and guided to what to do for fun.
As for the drop rate... no one said that everyone should get everything and get it right away. Perhaps it makes sense in this world that some things are just.. rare... Not meant for all to get and collect, but as a nice suprising gift should it occur.
Perspective.. if you get it.. you get it.. if you don't.. should be no biggie.
No tokens please. I feel that instead of making the retry rate on dungeons/primals 5-15 minutes they should make it 24 hours with a drop rate of like 20% on each chest. This would provide an average of 1 DL drop per day and it won't burn people out. It will also make content last longer because it won't be completed the day it comes out. Also, it will make it so more "casual" players are able to do endgame content while still having a chance at obtaining gear.

It would also mean it would be months before people could learn a strategy that works. No tokens please. It would also 'encourage' specific classes only (as there would be less opportunities to figure out other strategies).
It would also discourage pick up groups and inexperienced players:
If you can only try it once every 24 hours, you are going to go ONLY with the people you know and trust and ONLY in that specific job combination.
This could affect the fun for others ; ;
this x100
Rare item is meant to be rare. Don't kill the enjoyment of getting lucky for others, just because yourhardcoreteam didn't want to do the raid anymore.
IMO, if you're to the point that the only thing you can do in the game is run the same dungeon raid over and over, you might as well take a break.
Darklight Breeches dropped on our Fifth or Sixth AV win last night from one of the 3 main chests. I imagine if we had gotten 5 chests for every win we may have gotten 2 or 3 darklight pieces. This seems like a fair drop rate to me. Dungeon isn't too difficult, speed runs are challenging and require concentration so it's only fitting the the current best endgame gear take some time to obtain.
I mean... wouldn't it be nice if people haven't yet finished 1.21 content by the time 1.22 is implemented? Enough with all the Q.Q 'make drop rate higher but boss fights harder' - low drop rates have always and will always be used on end game gear. Nuff said.
People wanted long-term content goals and super rare items. They got it.
Deal with it.
There's plenty of endgame gear to get at a better success rate/quicker time. Darklight gear, especially the body pieces, are clearly meant to be the holy shit did you see what that guy was wearing - rare kind of gear.
Yaaay, someone who 'gets' it!!People wanted long-term content goals and super rare items. They got it.
Deal with it.

If you had refrained from profanity you would have been rewarded with a giganormous cookiee. Instead, you will have to settle for a hume sized cookiee.
holy... smokes?
I'm in a LS called Profanity Filter. Irony is a huge part of my FFXIV life it seems :P
