Direct Hit value nerf in instance for Healer?

Steps:
1. I queue'd for an expert roulette on my white mage for one time to check how Direct Hit materia would affect my damage for fun. Before buffs, my direct hit rating was 1560 outside of instance. Inside, it was 390 which was a significant nerf on the value.
While slotting materia for other stats I noticed no nerfs to them: ex. spell speed kept my global cooldown speed the same from world to instance.
Is this a bug or working as intended? Are certain stats for classes simply nerfed to discourage prioritizing them? Thank you.

Expert roulette can sync item level down,and if it does, any material slotted gets ignored. At least, last I heard.

Thank you for that suggestion, though my spell speed was not nerfed at all with my global cooldown remaining the same. I slotted it heavily first and my GCD was about 2.33 inside and outside of the expert instances.

I'll try to q for a roulette guaranteed to squish all my ilvl down and see if my direct hit goes to Zero, that may be the case. Since healer gear lacks it completely, would make sense.

Can confirm it does this if the gear is synced. Big reason why people go into Eureka/BA with crafted 290 gear since it syncs to 300 so that they can squeeze the pentamelded materia slots out of them.

I’m not in-game currently to check, but I think only Amaurot currently has an active item level sync on it. I don’t think the Twinning or Akadaemia currently sync item levels.
