Cannot Launch Mac Client

I made no changes to my Mac, nor did I do any updates to the OS. Today when I tried to launch he Mac client, I get a program error pop up message that shows the below details.

Hi DarkArvan,

It's a late 2012 iMac; 3.4 Ghz i7, 32 GB Ram and a GeForce GTX 680MX video card running the latest version of Mojave (10.14.6).

It seems there was a client updater following the maintenance activity last night - I just downloaded it. I still get the same error that I posted above but it also now says this;

The program ffxivlauncher64.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
This can be caused by a problem in FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE, or a deficiency in Wine, the compatibility layer which is being used to run FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE. Contact the makers of FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE for help.

I do have the latest installed - it was working fine until yesterday.

How can I launch the game without the Wine Program? I thought I could only launch it one way?

I ended up removing the game and reinstalling it. Now it works, but not sure what caused the issue in the first place.
