Bard Songs

So I was looking around at gearing up accessory wise for Bard when I realized that I have no idea what affects Bard songs, if anything.

Could they be considered Enhancement Magic? If that's the case a little bit of Vitality would be nice. However the Bard AF gear gives mostly Dex and Piety bonuses. The only reasons I can find for those two stats getting a boost is that they affect Archer/Bard arms damage.

Just curious if anyone's done any testing or seen a difference with a particular stat over another.

Pie is important to a bard/archer because of the damage increase to light attack, increases mana, increases enfeebling magic. Do not let the term magic confuse you, enfeebling magic applies to all debuffs. So your bind, heavy, and stun from weapon skills will happen more with higher piety. For you songs, they are buffs and enhancing magic makes them stronger. There is very little gear that increases enhancement magic, but VIT does increase it. Every four VIT gives you one enhancing magic.

Are you sure? It kind of goes behind the established fact that Vit = Enhancement magic and Bard songs do enhance. Piety is for debuffs. If it actually is piety, that's very interesting.

Positive, i check my stats while swapping about 40 points worth of piety on and off.

Are you saying that BRD songs have different buff strengths based on your current PIE total? Please elaborate.

Add more piety, the effects of the songs get stronger. There isn't more to it than that.

Just did a quick test with a tourmaline ring (15 PIE).

Ballad did 26 MP a tick with and without the ring. So a difference of 15 PIE didn't make any difference to the MP/tick. Needless to say it doesn't effect Enhancing Magic Potency on the gear window.

I ask because of the following:

With 241PIE, Minuet gives me 35 ACC and Ballad gives me 20MP/tick.
With 322PIE, Minuet gives me 35 ACC and Ballad gives me 20MP/tick.

So again, please elaborate on how PIE affects songs.
