So just starting CUL and I have no idea how to go about doing it.
Aside from leves, is there anything I should be grinding on?
Check lodestone, they have updated recipes.

I think if you have the fishing, you can turn most of the fish you find into sand for some culinary experiences. Probably better to take the fish that can't be turned into something juicy, like fish glue.
I bought fish, because I'm not the fishy type.
Crazy EXP now, i had food, an Engineering Manual and was plying on the quality on each synth, making Buttons in a Blanket (50) at 48 I was getting 2500 to 3000 Exp a synth, ok some blew up because i was trying to ply on the quality, but it was so worth it.

Yea I just started leveling this as well and using whatever I have in my inventory for the time being but does anyone know of a good leveling guide to reference? Although I doubt there would be one for post 1.21 already.
I'm always tempted to make something like that for each craft, but with the recipes readily available on lodestone and the new vast amounts of xp from synths... you can ride the easy (or easy to get ingredients for) synth for many extra levels now.
Some advice: Make food you can use. As a crafter, you can use dairy products for craftmanship (Sadly, it seems most low level dairy products are not synthable, only buyable from NPC, but this changes down the line), drinks for magic craftmanship, and fish dishes for control. Since you get a 3% experience boost from eating food, and you may as well eat food that helps you craft better, it just makes sense in my opinion.
Thanks for the advice, I've been crafting (when I have time to actually play) the recipes requiring the least amount of ingredients for the most part or what I have in my inventory from doing other random tasks. Although I have crafted a lot of the food that gives +3% exp points I have not been eating it while crafting, it never dawned on me to do so! I'll start doing that for sure, I've just been making sure to log out in an inn so I can bank in on the rested exp. Crafting in this game is such much different than other MMOs as it is it's own class, haha. I do like it that way though, its more interesting.
