I think that for tank is better Vit (More damage reduction and hp), Dex ( more accuracy and Parry) and like sub stat Str.

It's Str & Vit, increase both your auto-attack and weaponskill damage. Damage is your hate tool.

Yes is true, but the damage is useless if you miss a lot, accuracy is better that Str. If you miss a hit you can lose a combo (like combo of emity+) and lost a lot of damage, more that if you have less Str and failures rarely the blows.

Yes, accuracy is better, but dexterity is not. Allot STR and VIT, then wear accuracy gear when it's needed.

I use 2 acc rings for hard to hit mobs in party and you really don't need more acc than that.

check out this post http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post607045 this guy did some testing on DRG/WAR/MNK this will help with damage only though and not VITs effect on damage reduction.

I don't find WAR to be a good choice for a pure DD role, so I take VIT first and STR second. STR is point for point more effective for damage output, but VIT pretty much has everything in one and most likely gives you by far the most bang for your buck in any situation where you will be taking a lot of attacks. The other attributes are extremely marginal and not worth pursuing.
