Anyone have any luck getting there spouse/partner into this game? I'd like to get my girlfriend to play this with me but it would be her first mmo and she's not much of a gamer either. She says she is willing to try though.

Any tips or suggestions to ease her into it? She would be on ps4.

This games combat is so laughably easy that it doesn't matter what class you play, as long as you mastered reading, you can do just fine with any class.

Heya, My wife and I have been playing together since 2.0, she was not a huge gamer either but wanted to play together (honestly I needed a healer while I was tanking but she didnt want to heal when she played -_-) if she is willing to try then thats a good sign. as far as a good starting class. Archer/BRD is pretty easy to get into and can be fun to play for new players. but once she gets the basics down I would recommend that she tries any class that catches her eye so she can find what she likes. my wife started as BRD but fell in love with BLM once she get further into the game.

Honestly, if she's not much of a gamer there's only SO MUCH you can do to help her stay interested. I would just tell her to kick back and have some fun. You'll get stuck surely, but then thats where you come in! :P Adventuring together is the best kind of adventure tbh. It's going to be daunting, but it's easy enough now to pick up. Just remember its a game and have fun! Just show her some of the cute minions too. Cute can work.

Let your partner try the game by himself. Just be there to answer any question, but that's all. Having someone over your shoulder can be obnoxious.

Any class works.
The ultimate duo, imo, would be a tank/healer. DPS are a dime a dozen for duty finders and such, but if you have both, I can imagine it may go alot faster. My roommate and I did that for a while and we were a powerhouse, ev en outside of duties.
