KEY RULES

A. Official Rules: The Official Rules for this Promotion consist of both:

• these key rules summarizing the important rules for participating in the Promotion (the “Key Rules”); and
• the Additional Promotion Official Rules (“Additional Rules”) applicable to your place of legal residence.

B. Territories: This Promotion is open only to individuals who are legal residents and physically and permanently located in one of the following countries/territories at the date and time of entry (the “Promotion Jurisdiction”):

C. Age Limit: This Promotion is open only to individuals thirteen (13) years of age or older at the date and time of entry.

D. Entry Period: You may enter the Promotion only between 7th June 2019 at 4pm (BST) / 8am (PDT) / 11am (EDT) and 21st June 2019 at [4pm (BST) / 8am (PDT) / 11am (EDT) (the “Entry Period”).

E. Entry Procedure: In order to enter the Promotion, you must complete the following steps during the Entry Period:

• Create a screenshot of a Viera character or a Hrothgar character using the official benchmark software of the Final Fantasy XIV Game (the “Screenshot”)
• Login to Twitter Account and go to the official FINAL FANTASY XIV Twitter page to post one (1) tweet attaching a Screenshot with a comment containing the following information:
  • The name of the your in-game character linked with your Service Account (as defined below);
  • The name of the world your character belongs to as linked with your Service Account;
  • An “@” mention to @FF_XIV_EN
  • The #FFXIV hashtag;
  • The #MyFFXIVViera hashtag or the #MyFFXIVHrothgar hashtag; and
  • The reward you would like to receive (Bluebird Earring, Scarf of Wondrous Wit, Gaelicap, Mandragora Choker, Ahriman Choker, Noble Barding) (together with the “Tweet”).
    
    Example: “@FF_XIV_EN Community Team Ragnarok - #FFXIV #MyFFXIVViera – Gaelicap”

F. Entry Limitations:

• Participants of this Promotion must possess an active user account (“Twitter Account”) and an active Final Fantasy XIV service account (“Service Account”), have access to a working internet connection, and web browser in order to be able to enter.
  
  
• Participants are responsible for all connection charges associated with the internet connection and any fees associated with the registration for a Twitter Account and a Service Account.
  
  
• Participants must ensure that your contact information is correct at the time of registration for a Twitter Account and a Service Account, during and after submission of their entry.
  
  
• By participating in the Promotion, you are deemed to have accepted our privacy policy and cookies policy located here and the Twitter Rules and policies.
  
  
• Participants must have a permanent residence in a PAL Territory or North America.
  
  
• Participants must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to enter the Promotion.
  
  
• The Promotion is not open to employees, directors or other officers of Square Enix Europe or its respective affiliates, agents, media partners and suppliers.
  
  
• Participants found to use multiple Twitter Accounts to enter the Promotion will not be eligible for a prize. Only one (1) Tweet per person per day during the Entry Period is allowed. Multiple Tweets posted in a single day during the Entry Period (including duplicates, near duplicates, updates or links) will not be accepted. Participants submitting multiple Tweets will only be eligible for one (1) prize should they be selected as a winner, irrespective of the number of Tweets posted during the Entry Period.
  
  
• The Screenshot must be taken by the person submitting the entry. The in-game character must be visible in the Screenshot and participants may only use image editing software to crop your Screenshot.

G. Winner Selection: The Sponsor (listed below), or Sponsor’s designee, shall select three hundred (300) winners from among all entries based on overall creativity and originality of the participant's Screenshot (the “Winner(s)”).

H. Prize(s): Each Winner(s) shall receive one (1) of the following Final Fantasy XIV in-game prize(s):

• One (1) Scarf of Wondrous Wit;
• One (1) Bluebird Earring;
• One (1) Gaelicap;
• One (1) Mandragora Choker;
• One (1) Ahriman Choker; or
• One (1) Noble Barding. (individually, the “Prize”).

The Prize is a virtual prize with no monetary value and cannot be sold or transferred.

I. Winner Notification: Winner(s) will be announced on the FINAL FANTASY XIV Twitter page and on the FINAL FANTASY XIV official forums on 5th July 2019. Once the Winner(s) are announced, Prizes will be delivered to each Winner(s)’s Service Account via an in-game delivery service (which may be subject to change at our discretion).

We reserve the right to re-distribute any unclaimed Prize. No cash alternative shall be provided in place of the Prize.

J. Sponsor: The sponsor of this Promotion is Square Enix Limited.

K. Other Details:

Inappropriate Submissions
Entries containing obscenity, vulgarity, discrimination, or any other offensive subject matter and/or containing any plagiarized or copyrighted material will not be considered by the judges. Entries which infringe upon copyright/intellectual property, personal credit, privacy, are counter to public order and/or morals, are judged to be grossly deviant from the established theme, do not contain all of the required information or contain erroneous information may face disqualification. Square Enix Limited reserves the right to judge whether or not material is appropriate for public display.


Additional Specific Provisions

Contestants resident in FRANCE: In accordance with the 6th January 1978 data protection and freedom of information law n° 78-17, we inform you that you have the right to access, rectify and delete information concerning you, by requesting it in writing to Square Enix Limited.

Contestants resident in SPAIN: The name of the winner will be sent to anyone who requests the same within three (3) months of the end of the Entry Period and by entering the Promotion you hereby agree that Square Enix Limited shall be permitted to do so if you are the winner. Limitation Of Liability And Indemnity
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW SQUARE ENIX EUROPE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ENTRY THAT IS SUBMITTED TO THE PROMOTION THAT INFRINGES THE COPYRIGHT OR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF A THIRD PARTY. YOU WARRANT AND AGREE THAT YOUR ENTRY WILL CONTAIN WORK THAT IS ENTIRELY ORIGINAL TO YOU AND DOES NOT INFRINGE OR INTERFERE WITH ANY THIRD-PARTY COPYRIGHT OR OTHER RIGHTS AND YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY SQUARE ENIX LIMITED AGAINST ANY LOSS ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF YOUR WARRANTY.

In the event that an entry violates a third-party’s copyright, the user’s Service Account may be suspended or canceled. All entries and other materials (the "Entry Materials") (including all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights associated therewith) submitted by you become the property of Square Enix Limited upon submission, and Entry Materials will not be returned to any participant. In consideration of our acceptance and review of your Entry Materials into the Promotion, you hereby assign to Square Enix Limited absolutely all right, title and interest for the full duration of copyright in and to the Entry Materials throughout the world. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you acknowledge that Square Enix Limited will own all rights to use, modify, and make derivative works of the Entry Materials, without separate compensation to you or any other person or entity. You agree to take, at Square Enix Europe's expense, any further action (including, without limitation, execution of affidavits and other documents) reasonably requested by Square Enix Limited to effect, perfect, or confirm Square Enix Limited's ownership rights as set forth above in this paragraph. Governing Law
These Official Rules and all or any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound and abide by these Key Rules and the Additional Rules applicable to your place of legal residence, and you represent that you satisfy all eligibility requirements to enter the Promotion.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PROMOTION. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
