AATN:FFXIV DEVELOPMENT! the commendation system is a joke!

Step 2: Know how to play
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit (commendations)

DPS can get them too, but you actually have to know how to play. Sounds like if you've only gotten 107 in 4 years, you either don't play often, aren't very good, or might not be very friendly. Just to give you a comparison, I've been playing since 1.0 (so played ARR since release), I main tank, and I have over 2000 commendations. But I have gotten a few hundred from when playing DPS.

They don't make 'em like they used to. I remember the days when being a troll was considered an art by some.

and guess how many commendations i received vs what i gave i just got 107 so sad ill never get the higher rewards with a crooked system like this when i give i should receive period its a unfair system and it "MUST STOP" and "MUST CHANGE"

AATN:FFXIV DEVELOPMENT PLEASE REVAMP THE HIDEOUS COMMENDATION SYSTEM ITS A UNFAIR SYSTEM THAT ONLY THOSE WHO HAD NO ISSUES LIKE OTHERS WOULD DEFEND ULTIMATELY KEEPING A CROOKED UNFAIR SYSTEM IN PLACE.REVAMPING THIS SHOULD BE ON YOUR AGENDA ASAP

Wha...? How...? Only 107 in 4 years? I have 4515 in 6 years. I am at the point where I don't want people to give me commends because I already have all the rewards.
Maybe try playing healer or tank? They tend to get more commends in general, but you still get them if you play DPS well.

It might just be me, but I found that I got more commends as a DRG than I did as a healer/tank....but that might also be due to the fact it wasn't until 1/2 through HW expansion that I started leveling other stuff.

The only thing they are good for is a fat chocobo mount...aside from that, they are definitely useless.
